The freshman year has been a long one, full of learning and writing tips. I have learned many of these writing tips, and have used them in my past blogs and papers. I am strong in my formality, fluency, and details when it coming to writing. In fact, these elements make up my papers. For example, Falling Through the Colors portrays the time I tried to drown myself in a swimming pool. Vivid imagery was used, along with fluency from one passage to another. Another example for my strengths is Sister Location Pt. 4, which allows the reader to experience the 4th night of a night guard who has been burdened with dealing with killer animatronics. Multiple agree with me saying that while this blog is creepy, it holds detail and mystery.
Many of my blogs allow my strengths to be expressed. However, these pieces of writing lack elements and literary devices that would make my papers better. I lack proper layouts in writing and sometimes lose focus on my main topic when writing. For example, Blood and Gunfire lacks a proper conclusion to end my blog on personal opinion of ATDPTI. The same goes for The Research Process and How I Improved. What I Believe in Achieving shows a terrible layout, along with no conclusion. It barely even answers the question that SaVeon gave on the blogger page. What I am trying to say is, is that I have many things to work on with my writing. I also know that I have been neglecting what I have lacked for too long, and that I must ask for more help in the future. It will be hard, but I will learn how to be a better writer.
